Jessi was born and raised on a hog and row crop farm outside of Hudson. Growing up on a farm is what made Jessi’s passion for the agriculture industry so strong. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2015. Post graduation she took her time to travel and get out of her comfort zone taking a job that placed her in North Dakota, Mississippi, and Indiana before returning home to Iowa. She has worked as a grain originator for the last couple of years out of college, before making her career change in 2023. In her last roll at a local elevator, she received her license to become a crop insurance agent. Seeing the importance of how a crop insurance policy works into a producer’s marketing plan is what drove Jessi to focus on the insurance side of the business. The need for insurance as a producer and farmer is very important in your everyday life. Jessi currently lives outside of Grundy Center with her husband Derek. Together they are busy with their cow/calf operation and row crop farm. Together they are also very active in their local community. Outside of work and all farm actives you can find Jessi enjoying the outdoors, working out, or spending time with family and friends.
